Botswana (amtlich Republik Botswana) ist ein afrikanischer Staat, der aus zehn Distrikte gebildet wird. Die Hauptstadt ist Gaborone. Gemäß ihrer Verfassung versteht sich die Republik als ein Parlamentarisches System. Sie ist unter anderem Mitglied der Vereinten Nationen, dem Commonwealth of Nations und der Afrikanischen Union. Botswana grenzt an Südafrika, Namibia, Sambia und Simbabwe.
